Winam Grassroots is a community-based organization. Its constituents are mainly women who believe in the power of coming together to build up a mass voice that brings a sea of change in our community. We are a women empowerment and climate justice organization based in Kisumu, Kenya. We are working to empower the community to identify the issues that affect them and come up with bottom-up solutions in relation to climate change and how the city can be resilient as the urban population continues to grow thus displacing the rural community and loss of agriculture land leading to low food production.
